Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you will want to capture all the memories of it on film. Professional photographers are great but if you are on a budget and want to save some money there are a few ways that you can have a great collection of wedding shots.

Ask Talented Friends or Family Member To Photograph The Wedding

So many people have camera buffs in their circle of friends and families. Pick a few people and ask them if they will take photographs for you. Most will be more than willing to do this for you. If you want your pictures done on film offer to supply them with the film or politely suggest that they provide photos instead of giving a wedding gift. This is a great chance to get some nice wedding photos if you do not have the money to hire a professional.

Decide where you would like to have your pictures taken for your special day. If it is outside and you are unsure about what the whether is going to be like, have an alternative place indoors, to do your family and wedding party shots.

Here are some wedding photography tips for the person who is taking the pictures for the happy bride and groom to be:

Plan Photographs Ahead of Time

Visit the places where the photographs are going to be shot. Look around and get some ideas for photos such as set up, where you are going to want people placed and if you need any props. Having a few different lenses would definitely be a plus such as wide angle and telephoto. On the wedding day make sure you have everything you will need such as your camera, extra battery power, lighting if needed, your flash, film if you are using it, and even a step ladder if you want to get creative with some different types of shots.

Take a Photography Course

Taking a photography course is also a good option for amateur photographers. If the bride or groom has asked you to take on the responsibility of shooting their wedding an online photography course can help you to improve your skills before the big day. If you do not want to take an online photography course you can choose to take a photography course at a local college or watch photography tutorials online. If you are planning on having a career as a photographer you can use the photos taken at the wedding for your portfolio. Having quality wedding photos to show as samples will help a budding photographer gain new customers.

Cheap Wedding Photographs Tips

A lot of people spend thousands of dollars on a wedding. They may even take out a bank loan to finance the event, but there are many people who plan small weddings on extremely tight budgets. If a bride and groom cannot afford to hire a professional photographer they can still end up with some beautiful photographs from their special day.

Providing guests with disposable cameras is a common wedding practice these days. Handing out disposable or single use cameras to each guest is a good way to get some great shots from a different perspective. Guests love it when disposable cameras are left on the tables. Granted, you may end developing a few terrible pictures but you will likely be amazed at how many good photos you end up with.

Regular disposable cameras are pretty cheap and if the bride and groom are willing to pay a bit more they can purchase wedding themed disposable cameras. The wedding couple does not have to worry about paying a photographer, and they can develop the photos whenever they can afford to do so.
